Ministerial Food Fight
Objective: Fellowship Goal: Springfield/Clark County "City of God"
In June 2007 "The Ministerial Food Fight" MFF began meeting for a monthly lunch. This fellowship was started to help bring together Ministries and Ministers.
"A City divided cannot stand" .. I felt as if the Lord had said that we have in place churches, ministries, outreaches, street ministry, prayer, funding, ect.. ,and not that much fruit to show for it. We need to strengthen a key ingredient "unity" among Pastors, Churches, the Body of Christ.
MFF desires to see Clark County transformed to God's will. In Acts 2 we see before there was radical community change they were all together in one accord (mind set).
I would like to explain a vision I had and I want to emphasize this is not about me or the ministry I represent. Actually that is one reason we are in the situation we are in because for alot of us it has been about ourselves and our ministry.
In efforts to see growth in "my ministry" I would try to come up with good ideas. Then 10 years later I noticed that all my good ideas were seeing the jail population continue to rise. That's when I told the Lord I am tired of spinning my wheels. I think the Lord replied "It's about time". The Lord showed me a panaramic view of Springfield. He said "When this comes together (the community) then the jail will empty out." I believe he was telling me to give effort towards building the Kingdom "A United Kingdom".
In Acts 2, How did the 120 know to show up at the upper room? I beleive they got to know each other first. As we get around each other and grow together, I beleive we begin to mesh. This is were the food fight concept is born from. I believe before we can have an aggreement of prayer we need to spend some time getting to know each other. The more you are around some one the more compassion and focus you have for prayer with that person. I know we are doing different things in different places, but in the midst of those things we are called to work together for the same Kingdom.
The MFF is known to have fun and goof off, but with a purpose. If you get around us long enough, hopefully you get hit by some food and love.

One Thursday a month usually the 4th Thursday at 11:30AM.
Different restuarants around town. Hopefully with quick service.
We have a table reserved and each person orders for themselves (don't forget to tip your server). Then we make fun of each other. Then we eat, 30 seconds of seriouseness, and then prepare for war.
